i just found out my friend nina was killed.
it was her 30th birthday and she went climbing near Wellington, where she's been living. there was a rock fall and even though she was wearing a helmet, she was struck in the head and killed.
there are great photos of her on my picture page, under 2004/superfriends get superdrunk. she was the Insatiable Sweet Tooth Girl and i was Cell Phone Reception Man.
she was direct and smart and funny and cute and successful. and now she's dead at thirty.

I'm really sorry to hear that, it's such a shock when someone passes away and it's so final, there's absolutely nothing you can do.
Zack: I'm really sorry to hear this news. I did go to Superfriends photos in 2004 and checked out some photos of you all having a blast.
I'm sad for you and all her friends and family who loved her.

Hey Zack -- I'm so sorry to hear this. Steve was really sad to hear about this too, he remembered her from the superhero party. Oddly, I was telling my friends Leslie and James about this and it turns out they'd already heard about it -- their good friend Allegra (through Wesleyan) has been Nina's best friend since they were 5. It's a small, sad, world sometimes. Your post about her is lovely. Take care, Elise
