this weekend we went to chicago. we being me, my moms, my dads, the lumpiest brother lev, and madhavi.
yes. that is correct! family vacation with the girlfriend. we're pushing the envelope here, kids! new boundries!
it all went well. madhavi survived my father in travel-mode, which is a relief, and my parents only got all misty-eyed about having her along eight or nine times.
we went to a wedding. my godfather's daughter.
it was a lovely wedding, but everybody seemed less than fully excited. the toasts all sounded pleasant. the bride almost caught fire.
i just didn't really feel super excited about it. i guess it would have helped if i had had a chance to meet the groom.
luckily anne and al are getting hitched this weekend on a boat. i'm sure their wedding will cost a hell of a lot less. they are really good for each other and they are filled with the lurve. plus i have threatened to dress as a pirate. anyone have a parrot i can borrow?
chicago was a good time. we ate the chicago pizza. we saw my old friends jason and karen and their infant muppet abby. we rode the el. the sun was shinning. birds sang. tweet tweet tweet.
madhavi had never been to chicago before. she was surprised by all the brick there. they sure do like their brick in chicago.
and we're moving in together in about two weeks! want to help us move? it will be fun! or, at least, madhavi will bake pie!
this blog post kinda sucks. i recommend not reading it.

what?
things i already see wrong with that wedding:
no kick ass dj, like brad robinson
no pond for swimming in wedding clothes
no cliffs for possibility of great peril
although, you did almost set the bride on fire. always a plus.
as for pirate supplies, have you tried the pirate store?
i'm doing what??? ah, the joy of having a boyfriend with a blog.
that didnt suck. you're being hard on yourself, zack.
the last wedding i went to was in new jersey in february and there was a blizzard and i got snowed in with all my relatives who i haven't seen in 10 years and none of the people that worked at the hotel could get there 'cos of all the snow and then they started running out of good booze. the most depressing part of the wedding was seeing my 85 year old grandfather who is ill and having him be a total asshole to me - he will die soon and i'll always remember him as an asshole.
