A Brave New World

i'll be honest. this morning has not been so good.

it started real well; opening today's letter from madhavi to find a little Tarzan keychain and a note about helping her through the metaphorical jungle.

this kicks the ass as now not only do i have something in my pocket which makes me think of her, but i also began (and have not stopped) picturing her in the costume she wore for our Amazonia housewarming party. to understate the case grossly; she looked awfully fetching in it. god bless leopard-print bikinis.

but then, at work, it's monday after tour and the insanity rushes in from all corners. the DVD project i'm working on is flicking lit matches at my head. finally, at noon, i sneak out for a bagel so i will not implode.

and now, i rebel. i'm going to take the time to blog from work 'cause i damn well can. i set up this whole movable type page so i could do just this and i'm gonna take advantage of it.

deep breath.

and again.

i'm still thinking about blogging and honesty. i admit that i'm censoring now. i'm not telling you the things that still flit about my skull from my overseas call to melbourne last night. it's none of your business. and i actually almost edited madhavi's name to just "M" and was going to edit all the other posts the same way... but that's silly. either you know me, in which case you aren't going to be fooled into thinking madhavi is anyone other than madhavi even if i call her big carl, or you don't know me in which case madhavi or "m" is just a character in a story.

i hope to interview david and leila soon about their blogging, to add some dimension to my understanding of the drives involved. if you're a blogger and want to speak up, let me know.

ah, zack.

unwittingly, you yourself were the catalyst for the unforeseen effects my blogging has had in my real life. and you might not even realize how much of the story you know. regardless, it's not for publication anyway. let it just suffice to say that one can _never_ know who is reading what all of us write...

i am interested to read what you end up writing about it since i still don't understand this phenomena in which i participate, myself...

i also support the nom familiare 'big carl' (which oddly enough, and madhavi i mean this with all respect) was the name of the 826 valencia eel, may his memory be a blessing...looking forward to the publication of upcoming sonnets and the like :)
