it starts with a 30 year old waxy corpse. this day. Then, over brilliant sandwitches i discover my magnificent country and NATO "accidentally" bombed the chinese embassy in belgrade, killing three and wounding fifteen. naturally china is pissed. they say it's no accident.

in touch with my embassy, i am "strongly advised to defer travel to the PRC." i try to remember that china-->tibet-->nepal-->india was a new plan. i try to forget how excited i was. i try to figure a way to salvage. i check airline prices to mailla, KL and BKK.
